Good evening Gallatin R-V Parents and Guardians- We are closely monitoring the anticipated freezing rain forecasted for our area overnight and into Monday morning. Unfortunately, a decision regarding any potential impact on school operations cannot be made tonight. We will assess the road conditions early in the morning to determine if any adjustments to the school schedule are necessary. Presently, our plan is to proceed with school as scheduled. Dear Gallatin R-V Parents and Guardians, In light of the anticipated weather forecast of sub-zero wind chill warnings in our area tomorrow morning, Gallatin R-V Schools will not be in session Friday, January 19, 2024. This decision is made with the safety of our students and staff in mind, considering the potential travel challenges posed by the weather forecast. Friday, January 19, 2024 will NOT be an AMI day. Additionally, please note that decisions regarding tomorrow night’s activities (Basketball at South Harrison & Wrestling at Brookfield) will be announced tomorrow, and we will provide updates as soon as possible. Good morning- Unfortunately, due to the impending weather forecast, which includes additional snow on Thursday night and subzero temperatures on Saturday, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Gallatin JV Shootout scheduled for Thursday and Saturday. The safety of all participants is our top priority, and considering the potential for dangerous travel conditions, we believe this is the most responsible course of action. In addition to the event cancellation, please be advised that district facilities will be shut down for activities after 4:30 PM. This decision is in line with our commitment to ensuring the well-being of all students, staff, and parents. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in prioritizing safety. Dear Gallatin R-V School Parents and Guardians, After a thorough assessment of the road conditions, we have determined that a 10:00 am late start will be in effect for tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, 2024. The purpose of this late start is to ensure better visibility, and allow for the improvement of road conditions through treatment. While we have made progress, some auxiliary roads remain drifted with snow and have not yet been treated. Our bus drivers will be reaching out to families residing on these specific route locations tonight to provide individualized information. If you find yourself affected by these conditions, please do not hesitate to contact the front office of your child's school building. We are here to work with you and make appropriate plans based on your circumstances. Important notes: There will be no breakfast provided in the morning. Morning preschool is canceled for tomorrow. The home basketball games against Maysville tonight will proceed as originally scheduled, starting at 4:30 pm. Additionally, the wrestling matches in Hamilton, MO, will take place as planned, starting at 5:30 pm.

Dear Gallatin R-V School Parents and Guardians, The Gallatin R-V School District will not be in session tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16, 2024 due to forecasts of sub-zero wind chills. However, it will be designated as an AMI (Alternate Methods of Instruction) Day. For detailed information about AMI, please visit our district website Menu> District>AMI. Our instructors have prepared manageable lessons to keep students engaged while we are not able to meet for in-person learning. Parents of students in grades PK-6 are advised to check their child’s backpacks for hard copies of assignments, while students in grades 7-12 can find their assignments on Google Classroom. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your student’s teacher or building principal. We will plan to resume school as normally scheduled on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024. Details regarding bus routes will be determined and shared with parents tomorrow after the conditions of roads have been assessed by the district. The afternoon preschool session has been canceled. This decision is made with the safety of our students and staff in mind, considering the potential travel challenges posed by the weather forecast. The decision on whether to close school on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, will be made tonight following an assessment of the storm's impact. Additionally, please note that decisions regarding tonight's athletic contests at the Lawson Tournament will be announced at a later time today by the Lawson School District. The Gallatin Rotary Club has selected Alayna Rainey as the recipient of the Student of the Quarter Award for the first quarter of the 2023-24 school year. Laynee has been involved in numerous school activities including cheerleading and FBLA, and is pursuing a career as a labor and delivery nurse. She demonstrates an unmatched drive and passion to serve as a nurse and make a meaningful impact for others in need. She is known for being kind, genuine, caring, and friendly to every person she meets. Laynee is known for always having a smile on her face, and serves a beacon of light to our community. We wish you success on your future endeavors!

The Gallatin R-V Veterans Day program is today, November 10, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the high school gym. The program is open to all area veterans, service members, and their spouses. Following the assembly, the Gallatin D.A.R. Chapter will host a reception in the library for veterans and service members. We thank you for your service, bravery and dedication. It is with great pleasure the Gallatin R-V School District invites all community members to the Gallatin Square to wish our Lady Bulldogs luck at the MSHSAA Class 1 Softball State Tournament! The GHS Softball team bus will depart the Gallatin R-V campus at 9:20 am. The bus will complete one lap around the Gallatin square before departing for Springfield. Please wear as much red as possible to support our Lady Bulldogs, and we look forward to seeing you on the square.

Congratulations to the Gallatin High School Lady Bulldogs on advancing to the Class 1 State Tournament that will be held in Springfield, Missouri! Due to an anticipated high number of staff, students, and community members that will be traveling to support our softball team, Gallatin R-V Schools will not be in session on Friday, October 27, 2023. This day will be made up on Monday, November 6, 2023, which was previously a scheduled teacher in-service day.
