Gallatin R-V Football Field Lighting Project

Due to wet field conditions in Bethany the V. Baseball game scheduled for this afternoon will be moved to Friday in Bethany. Start time is still 5:00pm.

The varsity baseball game and Senior Night scheduled for Friday has been cancelled. Senior Night will now be on May 7th vs. Gilman City.

Varsity Baseball will play at South Harrison tomorrow with a 5:00 start. We will now play Marceline this Wednesday, April 29th, at 5:00.

The varisty baseball game today at South Harrison has been cancelled. Looking at a reschedule date. The varsity golf meet at Trenton has also been cancelled.

Gallatin Promenade Parking- Please do not park south of Van Buren on Market Street please. Fire station needs to be available. Also, no parking in library parking lots specifically on the west side.

The varsity baseball game at Putnam County has been moved up to 4 pm due to possible rain.

The Gallatin R-V school district will be dismissing today at 1:00pm due to the timing of the severe weather risk today. All activities/practices are canceled for today. The middle school dance is also canceled and will be rescheduled for May 1st at 7:00-9:00pm. Vo Tech students have been released and will not travel to Chillicothe today. The FFA teams are currently completing competitions and returning mid afternoon.

The Gallatin R-V School officials have announced that sixth grade students will not be participating in the junior high sports programs this upcoming season (2026-2027) due to an increase in student participation at the junior high level.

With a significant rise in the number of sixth, seventh and eighth grade students signing up for athletics, team rosters have reached capacity. The goal when introducing the sixth grade students were to help in increasing the programs numbers, which now have grown exponentially. In order to maintain rational team sizes, provide adequate playing time, and ensure proper coaching supervision, the decision was made to limit participation to 7th and 8th grades only.
